Whether your golf clubs are a brand-new purchase or have been passed down from a friend or family member, finding the right fit often can be a challenge.
Don’t know what to look for? Check out these tips.
As your own game and club technology develops, take the time to consider what isn’t working and why. You may need to make some adjustments to your golf equipment. Schedule a club fitting and let the experts guide you! You never know the ways in which your game could improve.
Check your grips.
Your grip is the most important component of your golf club. The general rule of thumb calls for replacing them every six months or so, if you’re playing at least three to four times a week. Consult with a golf professional to see if you need new grips.
Demo Day and Demo Rental
Every May, Egypt Valley hosts Demo Day—a great way to try a variety of golf clubs to see what fits best with your swing. On this day, several golf vendors visit the club and bring their latest in technology. Company representatives along with our Professional Staff will be on the practice tee to help you make the right choice.
Also, the EVCC Golf Shop carries an array of demo clubs to try on the practice tee or course. These clubs can be checked out and used on a daily basis.
Check your grooves
We all hit many wedge shots. Over time, the grooves on your wedges wear and allow the club to not perform to its maximum potential. Poor grooves will result in inconsistent distances, ball trajectory and most importantly, ball performance (spin) around our green complexes.
