Delicious Pumpkin Bars

Whether you need something sweet for your holiday table or simply want a special treat to brighten up your week, you can’t go wrong with a pumpkin-flavored delight.

Egypt Valley Chef Dawn Boertman shares her go-to recipe for Pumpkin Bars sure to satisfy any craving. Her favorite thing about these delectable treats? You can cut them into any size you want, big or small!

Bake temp: 325ºF

Bake time: 15-25 minutes

Yield: 9x9 pan


  • 15oz pumpkin puree
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cups sugar
  • ¼ tsp ginger
  • 1/8 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda


  1. In a bowl, combine all wet ingredients (pumpkin, eggs, sugar, vanilla).
  2. In a separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients (flour, ginger, cloves, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, baking soda).
  3. Combine dry and wet ingredients, being careful not to over-mix.
  4. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 15-25 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool in pan.
  6. Once cooled, place on desired serving tray and ice with the Cream Cheese Frosting.
  7. Enjoy! 



  • 4oz cream cheese
  • 3 tbsp soft butter
  • 1 tsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup powdered sugar


  1. Cream together butter and sugars.
  2. Add rest of ingredients and whip until combined.
