In its 100-year history, Egypt Valley Country Club has been led by some of the finest leaders in the club industry. As we kick off the next 100 years, EVCC is proud to welcome Kyle Lundy as the club’s new General Manager.
Kyle is a talented, dynamic and progressive leader committed to service and team excellence and has a rich history which began with a love for the game of golf. Becoming a PGA professional, Kyle started his career as a Head Golf Professional at Harrison Lake Country Club in Columbus, Indiana, before becoming the Director of Golf at Sand Creek Country Club in Chesterton, Indiana, where he was also eventually named General Manager.
Kyle believes his experience as a golf professional enhances his skills as a general manager in a positive way.
“Having started my career as a PGA professional, I value the need for quality and consistent turf conditions,” Kyle said. “I appreciate the importance that EVCC’s 36 holes of championship golf bring to the community.”
During Kyle’s tenure at Sand Creek Country Club, he led several capital improvement projects, helped expand the club’s culinary experience, implemented a club strategic plan and created family programming resulting in increased member engagement and increased membership. His work has earned recognition, including the Indiana Section PGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, the Indiana Section PGA Horton Smith Award, and for the first-time in club history, achieving the status of Golfweek magazine’s “Next 100” Best Residential Golf Courses in the United States.
While Kyle brings talent and expertise to EVCC, he’s most passionate about creating relationships with members, elevating the overall club experience and creating an inclusive family experience for members.
“I believe in a family-focused culture that provides a club experience which feels like a second home for its members,” Kyle explained. “I believe that a family-oriented culture produces a community environment that encourages all members to become more engaged with the club. Growing up in the Midwest and coming from a small town, I have grown to appreciate building close personal relationships with members.”
Kyle is looking forward to joining the team at Egypt Valley.
“After meeting the team, getting to know several of the members at the club, and spending time in the community during recent visits, we are confident that Egypt Valley Country Club is a perfect fit,” said Kyle. “I believe that the service provided by staff is a key ingredient that creates the ultimate member experience. I look forward to spending time with the entire membership in the near future and working with the team to ensure that the future member experiences exceed expectations.”
When you meet Kyle, you’ll quickly learn that while he has a passion for creating memorable club experiences, he is most proud of his family. Kyle and his wife Elisa have been married for 15 years and have three adorable children: Kane (11), Cooper (8), and Elin (6).
Kyle will be joining EVCC on March 29, 2021 and will work together with Bo to create a positive and effective transition of leadership.
“I am thankful for this opportunity to serve the members, guests, and staff of EVCC and am ready to work together with everyone to continue the tradition of excellence."
