Employee Spotlight: Sandra Keiser

As a Banquet Cook at Egypt Valley, Sandra Keiser is passionate about ensuring the Club’s members always have something delicious to enjoy during their dining experiences and special events.

Explain a bit about your Egypt Valley journey and how you came to work at the Club!
I was a chef a long time ago back in the ‘80s when I came to the U.S. from my native Ireland! I actually then went into real estate sales and enjoyed that for 20 years. With my kids now raised and through college, I wanted to do something more physical and creative. I always missed cooking for people and creating events, so I went back into food service. It's been 10 years now and I really love what I do.

Share a bit about your job at the Club!
In the Banquet Department, Chef Zac makes a list of all the preparations that need to happen to bring an event to life, and myself and my coworkers set about making the recipes, preparing meats, sauces, salads, etc. to make it all happen. It’s high-quality food and a seamless run for the pleasure of the guests!

What makes you passionate about culinary excellence?
I enjoy helping make things taste good and look good for the enjoyment of our members and their guests. I love to make people happy through food lovingly prepared to meet their needs. Egypt Valley is a good fit for me and I enjoy meeting the guests and making them food they enjoy!

What’s something surprising/interesting about you that members might not know?
I just became a grandma to a lovely baby girl! My husband and I love to travel to Arizona and California to catch up with our kids.

When you’re not at the Club, what could you be found enjoying?
When not at the Club, I’m probably over-feeding my neighbors, hanging out with our dogs or catching up with old friends—and I do love a good thrift store!
